The Sherwood Gentle Dental office is conveniently located on SW Roy Rogers Road and Pacifi Hwy, next to Safeway.
We offer flexible hours for your convenience, including evenings and weekends. We accept most dental insurance. For patients without insurance or for treatments that insurance doesn’t cover, we will help arrange no-interest extended payment plans so you can get the dental treatment you need.
Our friendly dental professionals provide advanced dental procedures in a gentle and compassionate environment. We offer general dentistry and specialized treatment for the entire family, including pediatric dentistry for infants and children.

ABOUT ME
Dr. Hoopes says, “The best part of being a Orthodontist is that I get to merge science and art to create beautiful smiles! I also really love getting to know my patients and hearing updates on their lives.”
“The thing that first attracted me to dentistry was that I had a great dentist growing up. While in college, I started volunteering at community dental clinics and saw the amazing differences dentists can make in improving people’s quality of life! Now I get to do that every day.”
After graduating from the University of Utah, Dr. Hoopes received his Dental Degree from the University of Utah School of Dentistry. He received his Certificate in Orthodontics and his M.B.A, from the Roseman University of Health Sciences. To keep abreast of cutting edge technology, he’s a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Hoopes says, “Away from the office I enjoy playing the cello, hiking and camping, rock hounding, trying new food and exploring new places. I’m new(-ish) to Portland and I’d love any good restaurant recommendations!”

About Me
As a Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Buenjemia enjoys building doctor-patient relationships and educating her patients on the importance of dental health. She takes pride in helping her young patients establish excellent oral care habits that they’ll carry into adulthood.
After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of San Diego, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She holds a certification for Pediatric Dentistry from Boston University and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Away from the office, Dr. Buenjemia loves exploring outdoors in the Pacific Northwest, and enjoys baking and reading to unwind.
